Snow, leaves and gravel
The best words to describe the day we just had and the landscapes we crossed are: majestic, surprising and lunar.
We left Toulouse in a beautiful sunshine and headed towards the Pyrenees. Yesterday one of our crew went to check if the pass we had to cross was open and to our happiness it was. So, after a first part of highway we got into the first winding roads and ended up at the gorgeous and famous Col de Soulor, one of the stages of the Tour de France. Here the landscape is breathtaking and the Pyrenees appeared absolutely splendid and majestic with the fresh snow.
The Super Ténéré felt really comfortable in every hairpin even when entering a corner a bit faster than expected. Thanks to its low center of gravity the Super Ténéré turns really easily into the corners so that you can just look at where you want to go and the bike just takes you there.
Franco Picco enjoyed his first Ride for Life day and is proud to be part of this important project. He had fun on the route as it offered a large variety of roads and landscapes.
After passing mountains, forests and slate hills, the crew arrived in Sos del Rey Catolico in Spain.
Tomorrow we have another long but exciting day ahead of us with more thrilling terrains to cross. Come back to hear our stories then!
Greetings from Sos del Rey,
